A Birthday Hello

Today's card is for the Simply Create Too Challenge - Use Flowers. I made some panels this past  weekend using the large flower stencil from Hero Arts. For the color I used Brusho Crystal Colours and I love how bright and cheery this turned out! The sentiment is from WPlus9 and the word die is from Echo Park. All supplies are listed below.

I die cut the word three times and adhered it together for dimension.

Stamp - WPlus9 - Hand Lettered Hello
Die - Echo Park - Sentiments Word Die Set
Die - Taylored Expressions - Stitched Banner Stacklets
Bling - Doodlebug Designs Sprinkles - Bumblebee assortment
Stencil - Hero Arts - Large Flower Stencil

Spread Kindness

Spread Kindness

I created this card for two different challenges that I am linking to. The challenge over at CAS(E) this Sketch #234 is a sketch challenge (sketch is below). It's a great sketch!

For the second challenge over at CAS Watercolor Card Challenge, salt is added to the wet watercolor. I've done this technique before and I love the results!

I used three different colors of Kuretake Gansi Tambi on my card panel. While my panel was drying I accidentally got another panel with blue a little too close. There's a tiny bit of blue mixed at the bottom. All supplies are listed below.  For the salt I used table salt and water softener salt. The die is from Sizzix. It's Scribbles & Splat, a Tim Holtz Alterations die. Simon Says Stamp makes the sentiment that I used.

Stamp - Simon Says Stamp - Uplifting Thoughts
Die - Sizzix - Tim Holtz Alterations Scribbles & Splat
Die - Our Daily Bread Designs - Double Stitched Rectangles
Kuretake Gansai Tambi Water Colours - #51 May Green, #52 Ocean Green, #53 Mid Green

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge: Sketch 225

This is my first sketch as a new design team member of the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Blog! I'm excited to be on the team. I love participating in both sketch and color challenges so this is perfect.

There are 24 design team members. I will be on Team A and will post my interpretation of the sketch every other week.

I've used a lot of different products on my card for such a simple design. I started out by using peacock feathers distress oxide ink over a Color Box Art Screens stencil on white card stock. Before taking the stencil off my card stock I laid a Heidi Swap stencil over top and inked with fossilized amber distress oxide. I die cut my stenciled image using a die from Our Daily Bread. I used the extra ink I had left on my craft mat to ink up two pieces of card stock that I used to die cut the heart and an the border strip. For my border I used a new die I picked up from Kat Scrappiness. My sentiment is a die cut from card stock using a die from Sizzix. Lastly, I added some sparkling clear droplets. All products are listed below.

Stencil: ColorBox Art Screen: Lovely
Stencil: Heidi Swap: Polka Dot
Die: Our Daily Bread: Double Stitched Rectangles
Die: Simon Says Stamps: Painted Hug
Die: Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations: Scribbles & Splat
Die: Kat Scrappiness: Fancy Scalloped Stitched Borders
Ink: Distress Oxide: fossilized amber & peacock feathers
Bling: Kat Scrappiness: 4mm & 6mm Sparklng clear droplets
